Personal Motto: “Anything worth doing, is worth doing well.”
His professional life commenced in 1986 with one of the ‘Big Four’ UK Banks. He went on to qualify as a Chartered Banker and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland in August 1993. After a successful career within the banking sector, he took up a position with a national firm of wealth managers and qualified as an authorised investment adviser in 2003.
Gary viewed being ‘Chartered’ as the hallmark to aspire to in his new chosen profession and worked hard to qualify as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2007 and was later admitted as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS) in 2011. He also a fully qualified Pension Transfer Specialist, holding the Advanced Diploma qualifications in Pensions and Pension Drawdown; and one of only a handful of pension specialists to have achieved a distinction in the Advanced Pensions Diploma.
Despite Gary being a highly qualified chartered financial planner, continuing professional development remains high on his agenda having achieved the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Certificate for Financial Services (Trusts and Estate Planning) and, more recently, the STEP Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Estates.
His Unique Ability® is: “Getting results by applying the highest standards of professionalism; the hallmarks of his work are his self-disciplined manner, effective organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.”
